Positive Life Unbalance

Is work-life balance a myth? If so, can positive life unbalance be a better concept?

For many years now, we see countless of publications about how important it is to achieve work-life balance for a fulfilling life. That life would include having a highly fulfilling career in a great working environment with inspiring and dedicated colleagues. We should leave work at the office. Once back home, we out to find our heart mate, and maybe the kids already, and engage in satisfying multi-dimensional interactions. All that should happen while having a fascinating social environment rich of amazing people and breath taking activities. The dream would repeat itself every time the clock is reset from 23:59 to 00:00.

The reality looks more like every one of us striving to cope with engagements, obligations, leisure and regrets related to how we spend our lives and who is part of it. The aspiration is alluring though. Deep down we sense there is a better way to get a hold on things without having to give up on high expectations.

Positive Life Unbalance Concept

A friend of mine introduced me to the concept of “positive unbalance” during an introduction to AcroYoga session in Vilnius. He said: “When trying to settle in a pose, do not look for balance. Balance tends to be set around one point. By pulling or pushing you away from it you’d lose it. It is actually dangerous because it is very easy to get you out of it. The secret is to create the unbalance. That would keep you safer by making it more challenging to move you away of your position.”

What if you can have it all though not at once? What if you select the elements that matter most to you at a given period and build your activities around them with the knowledge that these elements can change over time? Decide to APPLY NOW and set your own positive life unbalance in motion?
